How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new device?

Open Settings inside the App, tap Unlock Premium, then tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy Premium originally.

I purchased Premium but the features are still locked.

Force-quit the App and reopen it. If the features are still locked after a minute, open Settings inside the App and tap Restore Purchase. If that doesn't resolve it, email us and include the date of purchase.

How do I back up my notes, highlights, and bookmarks?

Open Settings inside the App and tap Backup Data. The App will produce a JSON file that you can save to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or share via the system share sheet. To restore, tap Restore Data on a different device and select the same file.

Will my notes sync across devices automatically?

Not yet. All study data is stored on your device. Use the Backup / Restore feature to move data between devices.

The audio playback stopped working.

BSV Bible uses your device's built-in text-to-speech. If audio is silent, check the iOS or Android volume slider, make sure your device is not in silent mode (iOS), and confirm Bluetooth audio is routing correctly. Force-quitting and reopening the App resets the audio engine.

Why is the Daily Proverb sometimes slightly different from the verse text?

The Daily Proverb pairs Scripture with a short reflection generated by Anthropic's Claude. The verse text itself is always the BSV (Biblical Standard Version) — the reflection is the AI's commentary, not Scripture.

Where does the BSV translation come from?

The Biblical Standard Version (BSV) is an original translation produced by Straight Truth Press. It was created with a let-Scripture-interpret-Scripture hermeneutic and a deliberate commitment to letting the original Greek and Hebrew speak — for example, rendering baptizo as "immerse" and ekklesia as "assembly."
